Cad$ goes up if oil goes up...I we have another war next year then cad$ should worth more than US$. Otherwise, if nothing major happens，it will be at most parity. Thats just my guess...if I really know I'll be rich la. Haha

It will never happen as strong CAD is not good to Canada economy itself. We are an exporting country, expensive CAD means no one buys our stuff.

Bank of Canada and the US Federal Reserve will try their best to prevent that to happen.

Only if the lumber industry can't figure out how to harvest and process beetle-infested trees. A small number of lumber companies has the technical know how to do that, and they are not affected.

War in the Middle East will boost oil. But war in general actually boost USD due to flight to a 'safer' investment aka. T-Bills, etc... Think North Korea... Iran isn't a huge oil exporter either, are they?

I think is the other vay around, Uncle Sam ran out of real money. Cant even give away there existing houses, so why need to build more new houses?
