for a hundred years now, chinese struggle to sing this song
the idea of all of china belong to all chinese , everywhere
this idea of peace and democracy, that tibet and taiwan belong to all chinese
no small groups of people can seperate it from china,
this idea of democracy is different from the idea of canada,
( if quebec says , quebec is not canada, Quebec has the right to do so according to
the constitution of canada, it is none of business of canadian citizens in bc or elsewhere
)
whereas the chinese revolution rejects this idea of china, china is inseperable,
japan cannot take a slice, britain cannot take a slice, the dalai lama cannot take a slice
this revolution started a 100 years ago, and it is still not complete,
i want to hear 楊沛宜, because i want to remember all the people who fought and died for
the chinese revolution , who struggled to establish a nation that belongs to all chinese
a nationhood , quite different from the nationhood as we know it in canada
many people sacrificed their lives, they will be happy to hear 楊沛宜 sing,
sing and remember |
