finally i got the hp 311 from costco for $449, $50 off the regular price till the end of this week.
but just wonder does 1-GB PC3-10600 (DDR3 1333 MHz) SODIMM & OCZ OCZ3M10661G PC3-8500 1GB 1X1GB DDR3-1066 CL8-8-8-27 204PIN SODIMM Memory Module are the same thing.
the netbook currently has 2g ram and i want to add one more and the ocz is on special at ncix.  just wonder would it work.  thanks.

The Mini-311 has built in 1GB on board, there should be 1 slot available to the user (according to the user manual). Max amount of memory the unit will take is 3GB total (32bit issues), so you need to remove the 1GB and replace it with a 2GB DDR3.

For a netbook, OCZ or Kingston.. they are the same.

thanks pkpilip, but probably i will refund it.  i got the 2g ram, 270 processor & g wireless card, but it is worst than my brother's asus with 1g ram with 280 processor & draft n wireless card.
when i watch youtube, the asus one is more smooth.  the hp one always froze for few seconds when the video is almost finish. with a loud "g" sound.  
when i play facebook game, the hp one cannot run smoothly.
both netbooks are brand new and only have pre-installed programs. the hp one has more ram and a better graphic card, i would expect it has better outcome on video.  but actually it is not.  quite disappointed with hp.
