By the way, they are not ugly. Maybe, I saw too much ugly things in several threads in LYK...
I dont' understand why people think they are ugly... i think they look very nice and contemporary.
The application of native motifs are more unique and less tacky than the maple leaf, the fluidity in the form echoes snowy slopes and water surface.. it is very west coast... it is also inline with the current VANOC graphics.
ahm, how much is the gold medal worth at the current metal prices? I head it's 500gm so about 17oz.
I like the concept of each medal forming a part of a mosaic of orcas and ravens. I'm not sure about the wavey form at the beginning but the more I look at it the more I like it.
