在日本任繙譯員多年的中年婦人， 10年前回流香港覓偶，可惜多年來仍然單身，兩年前便往內地領養女嬰，打算作伴終老。婦人平日對養女呵護備至，經去年金融海嘯捲走一半身家 300萬元後，性情大變。去年 10月，她返家見 13個月大的養女扭計不停嚎哭，便將養女倒吊，將小頭顱撼地，並大力搖晃七至八次，女嬰最終傷重不治。
