First time to try out this place.
Didn't see the changing lighting this time, probably too many negative review. Like the ambiance. One thing to criticize is that there's only one washroom stall. For a restaurant like this, shouldn't they have at least 2 or 3? Later found out that there is another washroom stall in the other corner of the restaurant. That's a bit weird.
Instead of the live band, there's a lady singing English song. Beautiful voice. It's not that loud even though I'm in the closest table to the stage. I can still exchange conversation w/ hubby so it's not that bad.
Service is ok la, but I wait for the dessert longest. The main course comes out fast though.
Bread is fresh and hot, serve with olive oil and vinegar.
Seafood bisque has lots of seafood inside, but tastes not that extrodinary.
The tuna salad is not bad.
We ordered two set menu. Set menu comes with soup/salad, main course and dessert. We had the seafood linguine and sable fish as main course. Both are quite good. Like the texture of the linguine.
But how come no drink (coffee/tea) that comes with set menu? It's a bit weird. I would expect set menu from fine dining restaurant to come with drink.
Dessert is just average. The mousse texture is thick. I don't know if they purposely make it that way. It's tastes ok just not I would expect for mousse.

Total comes with $75 incl tip. It's decent but with that price tag, I would have much more choices in other places or downtown I mean. The singing of that lady is nice though. |
