Although an MBA degree is no guarantee for you to be spared from being layoff, but it gives you a better fighting chance, should you get layoff, to get the next job.

Actually money is the least of your problem, as you can find scholarship or apply for a loan, time is a bigger factor whether you can afford it or not.

I think more degrees don't hurt, it simply makes you more "employable" on resume. Just like today, a bachalor is pretty much a prerequisite for employers as they are everywhere.

I will be taking MBA within a few years because I want to move up into executive levels eventually. Without MBA, it is just very tough (unless you are the boss).
