    In my case that thing doesn't "stick" to my bag, so  I just took it out.

Thanks for everyone input, the one attached to my hoodie is a noticeable tag, not just a sticker. I searched online and it is very smiliar to the one shown in this picture, my hoodie is stucked in between the big tag and the pin tag.

Maybe try finding a manager/supervisor at GAP here and see if he/she can help? Can they ship it back to the store where you purchased it from and have it shipped back? I mean.. afterall... it's their fault.

If the tag is the big one, just bring it to any of the same chain with the bill and they will gladly remove them.

Many highend clothing will have the tag hidden inside the seam during manufacturing. I have seen tags inside leather jackets and shoes. But they are easy to de-magnetize once you know where they are.

  i went to the states with my aunt. For some reason when she walked in to RL the security will "beep beep", then she put the bags back into the car. It still "beep  beep" but she was carrying NOTHING. Then we found out, it was her jacket that was beeping. We don't know why that her jacket beep, she was wearing that jacket for a long time. weird.
