After School today, My friends and I went to this Taiwanese Restaurant. It is a relatively small restaurant if you compare with other big Bubbletea place in Richmond like Pearl Castle 圓香, but their food is really worth a try!

According to the menu, the restaurant was established in Taiwan in 1946 (if i remember it right). The restaurant is most well-known for their Pork Hocks or 豬腳 in Chinese~~



Interior of Corner 23 RestaurantThe waiters and waitress are pretty friendly~ and the menu looks very attractive (with gold cover and inners~)! They have pretty much what you will expect from a Bubbletea Place, snacks, set meals, hot pots, stuff like that.

But I think the most impressive thing, besides the quality of the food is, the speed of serving the food was incredible. Maybe because we went there like around 5 pm, basically after we ordered for... 5-10mins, the food just keeps on coming (pointing out that we ordered a lot of stuff).

After we went sing k, I dropped by to buy some take outs, and the environment is relatively quiet. I think its a really good place to just chat and have a good time "hair-ing"!!

韓式泡菜鍋
Korea Style Kimchi Hot Pot

The Kimchi Hot Pot, according to my friend, was really nice! LOADED with lots of noodles (粉絲) and other things. The kimchi was sour and spicy enough! So basically anyone who likes kimchi would like this probably!





萬巒豬腳(小)
Wan Luan Pork Hock (s)

According to the restaurant, this is wat they are known for Pork Hocks, and what I can say, it WAS really good! The pork hock basically was marinated and it's really chewy and nice to eat. It comes with an apple plus ginger sauce on the side. The sauce really goes with the pork hock! THIS IS A MUST ORDER!





蚵仔煎
Oyster and Egg Pancake

Seriously, I have never tasted a better 蚵仔煎 in Vancouver than here! It was loaded with oyster, egg, lettuce, and OMG the sauce! SOOO GOOD!!!!! If you like eating 蚵仔煎 you will definitely like it! Very traditional! THIS IS A MUST ORDER!

Sliced Pork with Garlic Sauce

Ng~... All I can say is, it is a regular~ Not like really really good~ but still good enough to make me eat more~

Stewed Egg
滷大腸
Marinated Pork Intestine
滷海帶
Marinated Seaweed

If you really like 滷things, you will really like the 五香滷蛋, 滷大腸, and 滷海帶 or basically all their 滷 things. The 五香滷蛋 was so well marinated that even the yolks has the sauce in it! For like ages for the first time I eat 五香滷蛋 with the egg yolk! THIS IS A MUST ORDER!

紅油抄手
Wontong in Spicy Sauce (8pcs)

Ng... Just don't order it. It's like peanut sauce with spicy sauce and stuff. The wontons were.. too meaty, so it's not very nice to eat. so... just don't order it.

香腸蛋炒飯
Taiwanese Sausage and Egg Fried Rice

The fried rice was nice. Not too oily, and tasty. It is quite a big platter so if you eat it by yourself, it will definitely fulfill your hunger!

Total was: $18 per person... so $54 with tax and tips already.
