I don't remember Kirin Coquitlam being that bad. It certainly wasn't as good as the one in City Square, but it was still better than a lot of places la.

I found several places in Port Coquitlam are pretty good. Little Thai, Sushi Shelter 101 and T&T Pho

C Lovers @ Save-On Food Mall is not bad
Also, there's Ginmi Sushi & Grill on Oxford Connector, service is personable, sashimi is fresh & price is cheaper than other jap restaurants.  Highly recommend that one to you guys!

Highly recommend HONS Sushi.  Their special green chilly & shrimps tempura roll is exclusive from there. Located at Poco Place @ 2755 Lougheed Highway

Chinese (Canton/HK Style) - Hopewell Chinese Kitchen (永合隆), Poco Ocean (海富小館, I don't know if they have changed the ownership. Haven't been visiting for a long long long time), Deer Garden (鹿園, in terms of food, they are okay; in terms of server attitude, they are just horrible...)

I definitely recommend Deer Garden 鹿園 ! A lot of people go there for dinner .. Quite busy weekend nights!

I think their food is really good! Especially sweet&sour chicken, their curry and hoi naan chicken !
