People gear up for Run for the Cure
Thousands take part across Canada

Be the first to Comment  0 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Put on your pink ribbon, the 19th annual CIBC Run for the Cure is happening today.  Nine communities across B.C. are taking part, including Nanaimo, Victoria and Abbotsford.

Participants here in Vancouver will gather at Concord Pacific Place.  People have the choice of doing either a 1 km or 5 km walk or run.

Across Canada, 170,000 breast cancer survivors and supporters at 60 run sites will help raise money for cancer research.


There are a number of road closures due to the event, keep it on News1130 Traffic for updates every 10 minutes on the ones.
