VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Premier Gordon Campbell is taking some more heat over his prime time address the other night. Two economists call his tax charts deceptive.
Both of them say if one of their students handed in what Campbell presented, they would be asked to redo it. Jon Kesselman with SFU's School of Public Policy tells the Vancouver Sun even though he has been supportive of the Liberals tax policies, the tax charts were simply misleading.
UBC's James Brander agrees, saying they were deceptive; possibly intentionally deceptive. BC's Finance Minister says the charts were meant to demonstrate graphically what the Premier was saying verbally
