Be the first to Comment 1 Recommendation(s) LANGLEY (NEWS1130) - Langley RCMP first got calls about an explosion at 204th Street and Douglas Crescent Saturday night. When they went to investigate, they found a three-storey high-rise under construction had collapsed.
Sergeant Ravi Pawar says officers were surprised. "It's not something that happens everyday. But of course in Langley City when we get a complaint of an explosion and we go there, and a neighbouring business is completely demolished...it's an interesting sight."
Accent on Pastries is the bakery that suffered the most damage. Officers had to guard the business overnight, to make sure no one went inside.
It's still not clear why the building collapsed, but Pawar says provincial agencies will be looking into it on Monday |
