VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) Large crowds have gathered in Stanley Park for some free family entertainment on day two of the Summer Live music festival.
Erica Mattson with the City of Vancouver is encouraging people to take transit, bike, or walk the seawall to get there, as traffic on Georgia is getting ugly.
The festival even provides free valet bike parking.
"It's understandably pretty busy, we've got large crowds down here enjoying the festival, so take advantage of the nice weather, ride your bike, walk down on the seawall, avoid the traffic," she advises.
"There's lots of great stuff happening on site. We've got bands on all day and tons of family programming as well - a family stage and lots of cool kids activities."
Neko Case takes the Main Stage at 7:45 p.m., followed by the New Pornographers at 9:30.
The festival continues from 12 to 11 p.m. on Sunday. |
