VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A four-day poetry conference in Vancouver is expected to draw poets from across North America as part of the city's 125th birthday.
Mayor Gregor Robertson says the October conference is also happening during Vancouver's year as the Cultural Capital of Canada.
Poets will include Governor General's Award and Griffin Prize winner Don McKay and Martin Espada, hailed as the Latino poet of his generation.
Vancouver's third poet laureate will be introduced to the literary community on the last day of the conference.
