VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Endless meetings, constant emails and CrackBerries glued to our hands. The things that should be making us more productive in the office could actually be having the opposite effect.
Jacqueline Nelson with Canadian Business Magazine says all these things coming together are becoming a growing problem. In her new article: "Distracted," she found if managers call too many meetings, the office can actually become less productive.
"Meetings are an important and valuable part of a lot of offices. It just comes down to being smart about your meetings. So, limiting the amount of time and maybe designating a day where you're not allowed to have meetings."
Nelson adds some offices are starting to take chairs out of meetings so workers don't just sit and play with their BlackBerry the whole time. She adds it's pointless to be in a meeting if you're not enga
