KELOWNA (NEWS1130) - A 10-year-old girl from Edmonton is dead after a jet ski crash on B.C.'s Okanagan Lake.

RCMP say a boat collided with the small craft she was riding with another person near a Kelowna condo building around 8 p.m. last night.

Emergency crews searched the lake for wreckage and eventually found the child's body.

The other jet ski rider was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A man and woman on the boat were not hurt.

Police don't believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash
