Background music for Chinese wedding banquet? background, part, restaurant, slideshow, wedding

I know that for western style wedding, there is always a band or at least background music played by cd or ipod etc., probably because the dance part is the main part for them. But I am just wondering for a wedding banquet in a Chinese restaurant without dance. Do we need to prepare background music? The restaurant will provide family toast music and guest leaving music, but is it awkward to have no music for the rest of the time other than the game time and slideshow time?

Usually no background music (except toasting, game, slide show)..people like chatting in chinese banquet...

meal time can be accompanied with more modern chinese love songs, such as easy listening ones from khalil fong
