You can stream TVB live in HD.  No app in iOS / Android have that AFAIK.

You may also watch latest tvb series / movies / concerts on-demand, in higher quality than live stream.

HDMI out to your TV / projector.

From Tvpad forum's posts looks like they've been around since 2010. I've been using my for a few days and so far so good. Live streaming takes less than a minute to load, on demand tvb series take only a few seconds. BTW there's an third party app to record the live stream as well which I gonna try soon!

After digging through more info, their TV network is actually Peer-to-Peer sort of like BitTorrent but it's meant for streaming live content.  P2P kept their network infrastructure cost low, and reliable because the more TVPad is sold, the more client will be able to keep the network running.
