Courier shipment at wholesale price - eShipper! commercial, convenient, wholesale, discount

One thing really makes me mad in Canada is the shipping cost: postal, couriers; they seem to charge a lot for even small shipments.

If convenient, I would drive down to Point Roberts to get it mailed out via USPS. Currently, Point Roberts USPS office is super busy and Nexus holder cannot bring commercial goods (which they now check on a lot) for mailing. I need a solution to send stuff out internationally for cheap. I could do it through work as we have a corp discount with Purolator, but it is still not a good idea.

I've signed up with this company years ago, they offer some very competitive pricing for all the available couriers. Now, they have the "QUOTE" feature, I can simply fill out my needs and it will list all the options (courier choice, speed and price). I then create the shipment from there.

For example, I need to send a 1lb package to Australia, Canadapost business rate is $61 by ExpressPost. UPS consumer rate is $119 by Express. Purolator is about $110.

If I use eShipper, I am given all the options that are available to business at the lowest price. For the same package, using UPS Worldwide Expedited, it only cost $46. It will then create the custom forms and give me a shipping label.

About payment, that is something I still have to contact them. I believe they allow pay per use credit card option but my old account is on their monthly billing system. I will update you once I find out.

Eshipper is a great option BUT (there's always a but ...) the payment/reconciliation at the end can be a scam at times. It's a pretty known problem in the online community that both parties agree $xx.xx as the cost. Once the shipment completes and bill comes back, Eshipper can charge u higher (most of the time) than the one you agreed on because of difference in weight or dimensions calculated on the courier's side. At the end, you are forced to pay the premium. Otherwise, you may also want to enter into a long battle and get your money back. Lots of people gave up on Eshipper because of the unforseeable time wasted on follow-ups and inappropriate business behaviour ...
