Black Friday shopping

Any LYK going to the States for the Black Friday shopping?

I actually see some Black Friday sale event in local mall. (e.g. Oakridge).
I did a bit of online shopping that's it. I found the discount is not that great and most popular items are marked "out of stock".
Used to go to the outlet on the weekend after the Black Friday but the lineup (not only at the boarder, but at the stores) are just too annoying.

originally, I was anticipating to go line up @ Bellingham BB store to get a GPS (old cars, no built-in GPS), but hate the crossing of the border @ 3am and then wait in-line until store opens, and then I have to rush back across to border to work.

So,  in the end: I give up that idea. I can still find something (decently priced) locally, like big box home repair store (LED light fixtures), GPS, etc. just a tad more than that south of the border this year.

My wish list this year is rather low, and since there's no deadline to my wish list, I decide to shop slowly (have until boxing day/week to get what we need).

Oh and BTW: got a 3DS XL for my son recently for 129bux +tax, which beats most of the other recent "sale" by a significant margin....

Just back from Oakridge. It's like boxing day....so crowded...
There are some good deals...GAP is 50% off storewide. I got winter coat and a few jeans for my girl.

With the US$ sucks, I reduced my spending period.

But I am building a new i7 PC to replace my 2010 era i7. Deals from Newegg is pretty good.
