求教：響溫哥華租車疑問 richmond, 信用卡, charge

小弟剛剛返到溫哥華，急需租車代步有幾個問題需要各巴打絲打們幫忙解答一下

1.  邊間租車公司要絕對避開？屋企人話而家好多租車公司就算你影曬相都照屈租客話架車有事，夾硬charge落信用卡搏d旅客離開左溫哥華怕麻煩俾人亂收費都唔出聲（is this true?)

2.  我本身個車牌未過期，想問吓要租車咪依然需要買保險？向租車公司購買還是去直接同ICBC買會好d？還是去搵richmond d華人保險公司會好d?

3.  有冇咩係租車時候必須要知道？影低車身所有問題之外，要check引擎之類嗎? 唔識check汽車mechanics方面嘅野點算?

4.  有邊間大家用過，老實可靠？價錢方面，租兩個禮拜連連保險大約幾多錢？

So far 已經知道租車公司會出嘅蠱惑招式

1.  俾架污糟車你，搏你check唔到有損傷，之後再charge你
2.  就算你影相作證，租車還車時候都需要全程拍照
3.  職員會故意同你講話已經mark左d損傷，或者故意遺漏，搏你冇閱讀合約有寫漏野還車時候charge你
4.  職員同你講d小損傷冇問題，但回頭時候果個職員失憶或者其他職員變得好有問題
5.  入油方面，還車時候職員冇mark低話已經full refill，然後客人之後收到賬單話冇refill被charge
6.  還車時候職員匿藏員工室，刻意等待客人超過還車時間再charge一日（Grace period竟然只得9分鐘）
7.  信用卡資料會被亂用，例如過一排先話你去過某條橋收你錢，但其實你冇經過該地點

聽聞可以對抗手段：

1.  全車拍攝照片之外再拍攝video
2.  乜都要職員mark低，無論大小堅持mark低
3.  還車時候再做拍攝加video，最好影video之後影埋個鐘
4.  還車時候要職員mark低車身無損傷之外油亦已經加滿
5.  還車最好比預先時間再早一個小時去到，拍video證實已經到達只不過職員自己匿埋（其實你早一個鐘頭，又拍video，職員都唔會浪費一個鐘頭匿響房間內）
6.  最後手段，用一張可以cut得嘅信用卡租車，一切ok找數之後立即cut卡

除此之外，仲有冇咩陰招要小心？

我係睇CBC新聞話budget呃人，跟住search d本地英文網頁睇到d人嘅留言咁講，跟住問屋企人佢地都話有好多都俾人狂charge嘅case，所以先上黎問

I've used Avis and Enterprise on a regular basis, quite ok.

I've also used Mr rent-a-car quite a bit, they are Rmd.

No issues like you mentioned before.

taking pictures is good, most standard routing check (all rental car company staff will do this for you) is to walk around the car once before you sign the "release" form, noting scratches, etc. mechanical issues is not your problem at all (esp. big rental car companies), for they are the ones that should have checked and top up all the fluids, etc. before customers rent them.

The only thing that typically needs checking (they seldom check) is tire pressures. Usually low.

Fueling up is fine also (cheaper than you return the car and have them fuel up for you).

    Do you mean US or in Canada?

I rent car with budget in LA for 8 days about $400Cdn lor...
I seldom rent car (this is my 2nd time) so I am nto good at shop around or finding deals.

If I'm not mistaken, cost of car rentals pretty much boils down to the type of vehicles (subcompact, vans, etc.) pricing availability and package deals.

I once quoted for a 7 seat passenger van (nothing fancy, just caravan and it's equivalent) here in Vancouver. 1 week costs close to 1800CAD rental.

On the lighter note: Accent or echo weekly deal works out to about 48CAD + amenities per day (on a weekly rental package).

So, do some online shopping before you approach car rental company counter.

I got the Ford Fusion for $400Cdn (8 days) , in LA. I guess not too bad deal...
But we accidentally drive into a toll road...not sure what's the charge ...
