Hiring - Graphic Designer/ Marketing Assistant

A-Power is one of the leading Computer Retail Stores in the Lower Mainland, with two stores in Richmond and Burnaby, we have recently initiated our web online sales division and will continue to grow and improve our customer service commitment standards.
Job Purpose:
To assist with establishing A-Power’s identity and marketing strategy through the creation of collaterals - including website, online promotions, advertisements, and other print materials as required.
Duties:
* Producing all promotional materials, including website graphics, online promotions, advertisements, posters, electronic newsletters, and stationary.
* Maintaining and updating the visual aspects of our expanding e-commerce website
* Liaising with printers and advertising companies on design and print specifications.
* Ensuring a consistent brand identity among all visual media
* Managing time lines for multiple simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines.
* Collaborating with the marketing director and web programmer
Skills/Qualifications:
* Completion of a diploma or degree design or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Creative ability to execute marketing ideas, with an eye for details.
* Ability to handle design projects from concept to production-ready artwork.
* Ability to take direction and constructive criticism.
* Expert knowledge in Illustrator and Photoshop. Working knowledge in Acrobat Professional and Flash/Actionscript.
* Strong HTML and CSS skills a MUST (We do not use Dreamweaver), knowledge of PHP and JavaScript an asset.
* Knowledge of print and pre-press specifications.
* Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable with working on the Windows operating system.
* Knowledge and interest in the Computer and Electronic markets desired.
