Beside price.., I highly recommend someone try buy/install their tires at a local store where you can get tires warranty..!
I had a nail on my winter tire last month, and I was able to get it replace under warranty.., that wouldn't happen if I would to buy it from online store..!
Also, if you are using flat free tires.., they would need to be replaced after you drive them at low pressure, because the extra stress that's apply to the tire sidewall would make them unsafe for continue driving..! So, again warranty for your tires may help.
Fixing a tire puncture is only $20 or less, if I can save more in US, I will get them there.
Walmart sells the Dunlop ones too, the quality is not super good, but use in Vancouver is more than enough. Since we only use winter tires for about 4 months, and winter tires don't last long, can go for cheap ones.
Most tire puncture nowaday .. may not be fixed ...
Buy snow tires in Walmart or Chicken tires are cheap too .. costco is good too, I just compare the tire price in US vs Cad Costco .. price gap is getting smaller and smaller now .. say $150US each vs $200 cad ..
Yeah .. less $$ in US .. but we are talking may be just ~$200 diff for a whole set .. unless you are looking for 18" plus snow tires .. ^_^
well, kal tire is pretty decent and they are everywhere. so if anything happens, you can always go and get your tires fixed. canadian tires is even cheaper i think, but service-wise is probably not as good.
