In my opinion, it's just that this movie isn't your cup of tea, but yet it's still a good movie, instead of calling it trash..!  It's matter of taste.  Just like you don't say Durians are trash only because you don't like Durians..!

I would welcome a more subjective discussion rather than resorting to taste. Whether it suits your taste or my taste has nothing to do with its quality.
