We live in oversea.  Is it any way open a bank account in HK?

easiest way is through HSBC Premier... the catch is 150k CAD in asset or 350k in a mix of credit products/asset w/ HSBC...

you can have the account opening forms sent to a hsbc branch. then you fill the forms in front of the personal banker and the personal banker courier the forms back to a hsbc branch in hk to complete the process.  
they used to do it to their "known" clients, but not sure are they still doing it.
even open an account in hk now, they need proof of address.

you also need $5000 hkd in order to open an account.

HSBC requires $5000 HKD
Heng Sheng requires $10000 HKD...

also need proof of valid HK address...I think they need to mail you this card scanner thing to an address in HK for you to login to online banking

proof of hk address is for proofing you are hk resident.  you live in hk.
