For those that had been waiting, I told you that I have a few projects to do before I can start some classes

Just to show that I am not kidding ya all...Here It Is!

Miniature Chinese herbal shop.

This is a bit more complicated project nearly everything fr. scratch except the glass jars.
Although I am still working on it now, I am loading pictures for you to check on my progress. I am not able to take lots of pics of every little process while I am using both hands to work. It will hinder my progress too. But I will try to post as much as I could.

The cabinet...out of plastic and compound glue (hate using this glue coz it's stringy and eats into the plastic to bond well but a little bit of screw up....dead!)
The little trays are homemade as well.

Try buying liquid cement from the hobby shop, it's like paint that comes in a jar, with a little paint brush (little bit like nail polish), then you hold the 2 piece of metal together, and it glues them together, but it doesn't make string and ruin the plastic.

I know which one you are referring to. But that doesn't bond strong enough ar. I tried that already la. Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I've enough practice now to handle it pretty well.

Can you tell what some of these things are? The small bits of yellowish chips are dried liliy petals... took so long to make piece by piece..got a little bored. hahaha

Lizards, seahorses...not sure coz i get kind of grossed out. Maybe for a 2nd herbal shop project la. You guys stop giving me ideas or I won't have time to open clay classes ga la! LOL

I haven't a set date for clay class yet. Got to get this and another almost finished project out of the way first. I want to be totally focused while lesson planning and teaching clay classes (no side tracks) and of course, most importantly, room for my students to sit comfortabily, coz my craft stuff is all over the place now while I am working on them.

For those who are in a hurry to learn, you can learn from other instructors, ie: bubblesalt's. If you don't mind the wait, I want my lessons to be as unique as possible ie: not copying others' work. Therefore, I will take the time to design and lesson plan before I open a class.

Bubblesalt, and LYKs. I'd appreciate if you keep this and future classes as low-key as possible for 2 reasons.
1. I don't want your instructor to feel I am competiting with her for students. We are very different. I don't run these classes for business purpose.
2. I only want to limit the availability of my classes to only LYK and my own friends for the time being. LYKs members get the first dip!

Finally! After the loooooooooong months, I am at my last day of this project!
I just have to finish off a few covers for the jars and glue everything on! Should be able to post the finished project pics tonight or tomorrow night! ^_^

Now, I can breath a little before getting onto the Rectual LV, actually LW store!

I am far from it! I am still a student myself! I am actually considering getting a certificate but that's going to cost over 10,000 and will need to take it in HK.

btw, have you visited the TW miniature museum? I went last June and it was amazing!

I've been there, it's totally diff things from what you make. More Victorian styles... I think yours are way more difficult and dedicate....
