想請問如果匯 $5000 HKD 返香港, 手續費會係幾多呢? 比如對方係恆生銀行戶口, 是否直接 transfer 落對方的銀行戶口呢? 同埋一般需時要幾耐呢?

~ $10-20 cad ser charge here .. and another ~ $100 in HK SIDE ..

how about pay pal? if $700 cad ..

some banks offer online transfer, which will cost a little bit less, ~$25.  if you do it in person at the bank, it will be ~$45.  it should takes less than 3 business day, usually i can see the deposit the next day.  the fund should direct deposit to his/her account.  make sure you tell them to do the conversion in hk, usually you get better exchange rate.
if it is not urgent, just get a HKD bank draft and send it back by mail.  i done it once at HSBC.  since the receiver has good relationship with them, he can access the fund right away.  if not, they may hold the money.
or ask someone carries traveler cheques for you.  which people in hk can just deposit them to their accounts.  but make sure their account have no fee for deposit traveler cheques.
if you are going to converse the fund here, make sure you compare the exchange rate as well.  i find some places charge less for transfer fee, but give out poor exchange rate.

In just a few simple steps, you can send money to friends and family around the world.

Deposit directly into bank accounts, or arrange for cash pick-up. Service available to most countries outside Canada and the U.S.

Available currencies: Various currencies, including U.S. dollars, at competitive exchange rates. We recommend sending your remittance in local currency if available; otherwise the beneficiary bank may automatically convert the funds

Before you begin, you'll need the following information (to be sure that your remittance goes through successfully, please verify it carefully with the recipient and/or the beneficiary bank):

* The recipient's name and address, exactly as they appear in the beneficiary bank's records (for direct deposit) or in the recipient's identification documents (for "pay upon identification" or cash pick-up)
* The SWIFT bank identifier code (BIC) of the beneficiary bank (the bank that will receive the payment). If you don't know the BIC of the beneficiary bank, you'll be able to search for it while you're going through the steps of RBC International Remittance. You can also look up the BIC on the SWIFT website, or the website of the beneficiary bank. A BIC typically contains 8-11 characters; please ensure the eighth character in the BIC is not 1 - if it is, the BIC is invalid
* The recipient's bank account number.
      o For remittances to Europe and certain other countries, the International Bank Account Number (IBAN). (You can find a complete list of these countries on the SWIFT website.)
      o For remittances to Mexico, the clave bancaria estandarizada (CLABE) of the recipient's account
* If you'd like to send the money to be picked up as cash:
      o The beneficiary bank's policy on "pay upon identification." In many countries, such as Mexico and those countries using the IBAN, and in many foreign banks, cash pick-up isn't available. Please check beforehand with the beneficiary banking that this option is permitted - if not, your remittance may be returned, less any fees charged by foreign banks

If you've determined that the receiving bank allows "pay upon identification" and you'd like to send your remittance for the recipient to pick it up as cash, this person will need:

* Valid identification, as determined by the beneficiary bank.

Fees
$13.50 Canadian per transaction. (Other charges may be deducted from the sent amount by the beneficiary bank and/or its intermediaries)

Limit
$1,000 (Canadian equivalent) limit on the total amount sent per day. (You may make more than one remittance, as long as the total is not more than $1,000 Canadian)

Other key information

* Once sent, your remittance can't be recalled, cancelled, or changed
* Investigations into any remittances will involve extra charges by the foreign bank as well as Royal Bank of Canada.
* The date when the remittance will be available to the recipient will depend on the date and time you submit your transaction, as well as the time needed for the beneficiary/intermediary banks to process the remittance
* Not all countries are available, and the list of available countries is subject to change at any time

Hong Kong bank charges 30 bucks I believe.

Use TT service: $35 first $5000 and 5% of the rest (HSBC)

I am not sure but u can check.

Or You can use Western Union. Faster but they have limit like $10000 or below. I believe is cheaper than bank.

起碼"差"返香港個邊usd 50 上次我收usd 個時就係咁
不過唔知有無改
