在加拿大的中國人不應該再聘請菲律賓工人，因為他們不是真正地為我們中國人工作，菲律賓人只是利用我們獲得加拿大的居留權。為什麼香港移民要幫助那些菲律賓人，讓他們的社區更強大。香港移民應反醒。如果我們真的需要女傭，應僱用中國看護，讓華人社區更強大。因為現在，似乎 Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP) 是一個漏洞，讓太多菲律賓人來到加拿大。菲律賓的移民增長過快，可能威脅到中國人。這個LPC的建立也是因為香港移民以往聘請菲律賓女傭導致，現在讓太多菲律賓人移民到加拿大，是香港人的錯。

菲律賓人 here are very nice wor .. lots of them are professional ...

We are planning to hire one as well, yes, it is 3 times more expensive compare to HK, and 50% shorter working hour .. and only 2 yr ... but no other choice here ar ma ..

However, what does it do with 香港人 ??? very very few and rare 香港人 hire filipino as nanny wor .. mostly white people do ...

菲律賓嘅移民增長過快，可能威脅到中國人？呢句說話嚴重地有種族歧視色彩，唔話你 short到上腦、黐X晒線都真係唔得！

說得頗對。。。她們不是真心來打工的﹐多數做兩三年讀個 NURSE COURSE﹐就轉去做醫院做﹐賺得更多﹐兼且申請家人過來﹐過左海就係神仙睬你都傻。。。我公司有個女仔都是這樣﹐三十歲左右﹐有老公和大棚家人在菲律賓﹐過來打住家工一兩年但而家已經唔係﹐做 OFFICE了﹐﹐打住家工只係用來過橋之馬。。。加上她們的人工好貴﹐比香港時貴得多了。。。要請工人點解唔請中國大陸來的呢﹖ 她們可能更交帶﹐就算人工一樣﹐起碼她們多數已經是移民﹐給她們一份工作幫助加拿大經濟 (起碼使她們不用領綜緩) 不是更好嗎﹖

It's the same for other domestic helpers from oversea. Doesn't matter where they are from. I am sure they will try to learn and start a better life here eventually. Don't think anyone will only want to work as domestic helper for the rest of their life and NOT want their family to come over to Canada if they think it's a better place for them too.

LP, yes, compare to nanny in HK ..  nanny here is very expensive ..  however, ~ $1500-1700 is still a good price consider our living standard here.

Working in MacDonald in HK ..  only make ~ $20HKD la..  vs $10 Plus here ( ~$80 HKD )  4 times different ..

Um .. by the way, is that really 托屁分身 again??

Your statement make us HK and Chinese people look bad.
We're not indigenous people here so we have no right as who can come here.

Sounds like u not happy with everybody else. Including yourself.
Typical hate the haves and dont like the have nots.

So what have u done to populate more Chinese around here? How many kids have u bring up yet?

The East Indians probabl are the ones doing a real good job here, they all have many kids, more the merrier.
Is not for us to decide who should come here or not.
Surrey is becoming Surrey-Lanka.

and Litchimond is not question is another little China. Soon enuf u need to speak Putong hwa or Cantonese inorder to cross south at any of the bridges.

bleh. who cares who you are hiring. Just make sure you are getting your money's worth. If u get better quality and cheaper household helper by hiring foreign workers, do so if allowed by law. If your conern is that you don't want to deal with re-hiring since you know your potential hire will leave his/her job very quickly, then hire with this as a priority in mind.

Race shouldn't be the argument here, nor should you care whether it benefits them in allowing them to bring their family here. Hiring should be about maximizing what you get for what you have to pay for.

但係站在僱主的角度﹐難道辛辛苦苦又花費很多錢帶了她們過來﹐一兩年又要申請過第個嗎﹖而家說的﹐是站在僱主立場說話而已。。。

I agree most .. but dont think it is 傻仔 to 帶工人移民 ...

Hiring a filipino or chinese is not hard, but hard to hire a good one you can trust... so if the 工人 is good, and has been working for same employer for years ..  it is good to 帶工人移民 la...

It is not as simple as HK, hire the nanny .. if not good, fire her, and hire another one ...

Well, that is why, my head is so itchy la...  hire someone to look after my baby wor ..  gotta be a good one I can trust ..

Of course, on the other hand, it is not easy to find a good employer as well ..

It's just like the laws of business je mah -- if you want to retain a good employee, you have to offer her enough incentives to stay with you law. Initially when you hire her to come here, the incentive is to lead a better life here in Canada, so she'll put up with the (salary) rate that you are paying her. Once she is established, then she has no incentive to keep working for you at the same low rate ga la. If you think she is good, and that her services are what you want, then you have to offer her a competitive salary to prevent her from jumping ship mah.

In the modern world of employment, loyalty has no place at all la. Unless you are working for charity or in the public sector, you are merely offering your talents and your skills in exchange for that paycheque every 2 weeks.

no matter where are your employees from, they are all the same. just like a fresh grad will accept an entry position to start with, but after they get the experience, they will fry la.
more Filipinos than Chinese because less Chinese are qualified. most Filipinos have 10+ years experience in hk before they come here and they can speak fluent english. Chinese are either can't speak english or has no experience.

no.. I decide I will still reply some threads for some of my good friends but I hardly want to share information here; It's either for admin to have thread like toppy's or my useful information to share. I am sad to see loyaukee needs toppy to attract traffic.

Either admin restricts toppy to post in one section so let all the fighting there or ban him. Admin should know toppy's recent posts have broken the forum rules but he did not want to do anything about it.

not only 香港移民 have 菲律賓工人/女傭. go to north/west vancouver, you will see many caucasians have 菲律賓工人/女傭 la. some even marry the 女傭 tim.
