Two TVB series supposed to be the best of the year series in time for the awards,

Which one do you like?

Personally since it's only starting, I do not like neither one...

my wife likes to watch it so I watch it with her.....

She only likes TVB series... not japanese series, Taiwanese series nor English series...

富貴門的演員參唔多全部係 " 前輩 ", 影后, 個個鬥演技......聽落似90年代, 2000 年初期的劇

宮心計....未睇已經估係楊怡 Vs 姣佘, 關菊英 Vs 米雪, 陳豪 Vs 鄭嘉穎...不過我愛看楊怡做戲.....其實她的演技比同期的好

學蕭生話齋，無記過去廿年啲戲，無論時裝、古裝、民初、乜野專業戲等等都好，來來去去都只係得呢三味：

1）婆媽師拉胡鬧戲
2）豪門大鬥／內鬥、掙家產
3）男生女旦輪流連環互界
返炒完再返炒再～返炒嘅橋段，睇咗廿幾年，唔使再睇落去啦，吓嘩？

i watch both and i like 宮心計 more. 富貴門?!? i am quite surprise ms yuen's acting quite bad, probably she stays home for too long

You kid, you can say similar things about Japanese/Korean/Taiwan series. The story lines are always the same. Even those big Hollywood movies are made using the same formula over and over again. So your 蕭生 is just saying crap that we all know already.

Altho I dun like watching 羅家良, but I like 薛家燕 in 富貴門~

Malaysia has a dedicated channel for new tvb series and it is cheap to buy dvd there so she watched a lot of TVB series lo.

She does not like to watch Taiwanese drama at all.

That is interesting ...

My wife likes japanese TV drama, since they are the best, very serious/real, with "HEART" you dont see "errors" every 2 mins, and you want to keep chasing ....  and only 10 espisode most the time. ( plus, pretty girls and "some" good looking guys ... )

She likes Korean TV as well, since they are not as "REAL" as japanese TV, so she doesn't need to spend too much effort on it ... and reasonable length .. usually 16 espisode... DONE!

She also likes TW TV series, even they are not that careful, lots of mistake/error as TVB, and very "paul paul ma ma" as well ..  but .. lots of HOT GUYS + Hot girls....

However, down to TVB ... no hot man .. ( dont tell me CHAN HO is handsome! lol ) worse story, ( other then first 1 or 2 espisode ) tons of mistake .. ( such as getting into a HONDA, but with TOYOTA steering when inside, short hair when indoor, but long hair next shot, or different make up/etc ) and very very long and boring with big casting series ( 40 - 60 espisode ) Plus most the big casting .. are by OLD CAKE from the 80's when they are all in their 50's .. ( I used to like them, however, for example, asking LAU CHUN YAN or MIU Q WAH to pretend YOUNG MEN? )

Well ... some TVB girls are still actually quite hot .. so I dont mind to look at them ... but not to my wife lol

Chan Ho not bad wor...ho ying! You need to watch his "coffee" shows...quite ying!

I like Born Rich more, the actors are better in general...呂良偉、羅嘉良、袁詠儀、劉兆銘, 許紹雄...all very good!

呂良偉 in Born Rich looks as young as "Ding Lik" era...very fit wor...

Personally I like Japanese drama better too because it's shorter and more varieties. Probably my wife knows more hk tvb stars than taiwanese stars. She likes to watch something where some stars she knows star in. She does not like those movie without any "stars".

You might be right but this thread is about hong kong tvb series so lik is somehow right too regarding the plots.

The only thing we can expect is how the script was written based on the same plots.

Just like horror movies, even though the basic general plots would be group of people were killed one by one by one bad guy or monster and finally the survivor killed the bad guy. It's the middle how they tried to escape that we were interested in. Different script writer and director can make the whole movie looks different. Same goes to TV Series.

我諗你誤會左我o既意思，基本上佢成日講四房做乜做乜已經係d 宮婢既日常生活黎，問題係，皇上都後宮佳麗三千，有D入宮去選妃嬪入左成世可能連皇上一面都冇見過，有乜可能你區區一個宮婢半夜三更話有事要求見皇上就比你見到皇上，你話同皇上friend都唔係咁話丫~可能你會話，咁做戲丫嘛，唔係邊有戲做~~咁你覺得ok咁咪得囉，都係entertainment o者，鐘意o既咪繼續睇，但如果佢地想寫到宮心計好似金枝慾孽咁，咁就差好遠喇
