just 5 min .. what do u expect?? are they busy? or they are all standing in the front door, but refused to talk to you?
I think you are talking bout the sale .. not service?

When I am shopping for a car ( or hi fi or etc ) I rather spend 5-10 min to check out the car first, and if I hv question, I will ask the front desk, and get a sale staff.

At least, you are not looking for low end car like toyota or caravan, most people walk in to infiniti, should more or less know what they want.. and if you need help, why didn't you ask?

If you already ASKED for help, and no one was willing to talk to you, ( assume some staffs were there, and NOT busy)

I go to future shop, I rather I can spend my own time on checking out different product, rather then all the sale staff whinning to me ...

May be Van is different  then other city in Canada la..

(P.S. a month ago, I went to walmart for passport picture, I have waited for 1.5 hr ..  NO one ever said hi to me too .. and then I left..  of course, I dont want walmart to suck my balls .. )

but no service for the first 5-10 mins is not too bad.  my friend and i spent almost 30min at richmond acura, no one really care ar.
i thought volvo is the worest, they asked my uncle put deposit before test drive.

i like the service of audi & benz, even i dressed like a street kid, they still give me good service and have no question for test drive.

sorry, forgot to mention, we were the ONLY customers there, no other customers at all, it was 5 somthing in the afternoon, they close at 9 so it is not like they were in a rush to close the store, we spend at least 5 mins there, more like close to 10, coz we spent time checking out the specs sheets, the inside and outside of the car. for the whole time, NO ONE even care to approach us, say hi, greed, or anything at all, they saw us i am sure. when you are in a sales industry and thats the service u give? good luck getting my business.

it is not like i am buying a ferrari or bentley and expect god like treatment, but not even a simple greeting? or even just from the receptionist? is that TOO MUCH to expect?

U didn't say you guys were the ONLY people there ma...

If that is Sat afternoon, then it is normal .. everywhere is busy .. but around 5 ..  then you should get service gei ..

Well, may be both my wife and I don't really like sales people to bug us ..  if you mean SERVICE department, that is a different story, people walk in to a car dealership service department, DO NEED service..  but not everyone walks in to a showroom is buying ma ..

I went to Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo/Aston/Bentley showroom last week ..  other then  Aston ..  no one came to say "hello, can I help you" la..  but I was not planning on buying anything .. so I didn't mind to checking around myself ...  ( althought that 993 in Weissach is pure sex!! )

yes, toally agreed with you, I know their services sucks & too many kids are driving this car
that's the main reason why I bought my porsche 911

BMW is the same...

My brother drove his wife's brother to check out a 325i, they only let them test the demo car. After testing the demo car, they want to test the actual car ....

Then the sales BS them "Actually, if you want to test the actual car, you have to put down $500 deposit to test it because we have another customer who are very interested in that car as well" ...

Then my brother walk away because that's so unreasonable........after that day, the sales keep calling them and left few msgs (obviously, there is no other competitor, they just want to forced customer to put down deposit)

We ended up buying in bby, nicer service and nicer price as well..
Richmond serivce suck!

So what is the demo car for, if everyone wants to test the actual car? What if people just test the car and don't buy the car? Then the actual car will become the demo car.

作者: Catpiano    時間: 2009-11-10 11:23

I dont get it .. so ..  people expect to drive a BRAND NEW non demo car everytime??

So .. that will make every single car .. DEMO .. but then you dont want to test drive the demo car .. so .. um ..

I just dont get it ...

Sometimes, I like shopping in HK .. not much DEMO or SERVICE, just buy or not.. you want the car/camera/hifi/clothing/watch/handbag etc .. just buy/order it ..

How about getting a "BIRKIN" for demo?

Demo car = test drive
Actual car = buy your ride

No ar, we are not buying new car..
We want to buy 2006 model and we want to test the used car..
but the sales said the demo car is just the same as the 2006... and asked us to test the new demo car first...

Gum ng tong test new car and decided the 2006 used car is ok as well?
作者: Nam    時間: 2009-11-10 13:24

Of course I understand buying new car will test the demo car.
May be I dunno car enough?

I thought if ppl want to buy a used car, customer will test drive the used car not the brand new car/demo car?? And why should we put down $500 deposit to test a used car?

And 2009 will not be the same as 2006...

I think it's normal.  No need to whine about it.  If you need service, just ask.  If they're still reluctant to serve you, then I would whine/complain.

Ok ga la..

When my wife was shopping for a car back then .. ( before married/dated me )  She went to Honda to look at Prelude .. ( back to 2002 when they still had Prelude )  the sale refused to let her test drive, said that is a EXPENSIVE car, and need $5000 deposit first .. ( $5000! not $500! )

Then she went to Acura ... look at CL-S ( something like that )  the sale even told her " Miss, this is not a car for you, do you know it has 250 hp? it is not a girl car, it is for a man like me, you should look at RSX. )

However, she got great great service from BMW and Benz ..

You should ask some car expert to test the used car for you to see if there are problems. Those kind of experts are paid to do that kind of job.

SMART CONSUMERS
Most consumers would go to visit the franchise dealership showrooms when they need another vehicle or to replace their existing one. You will definitely be excited by the shinny and colorful vehicles. However, this kind of excitement can always lead you to a lot of frustration.

Salespersons in the traditional franchised dealerships would try to sell you the models that they carry, no matter if it suits your needs or not. Biased information may mislead you to make purchase of a vehicle that let you experience nagging feeling of doubt and regret.
After run-arounds of different dealerships, the bargaining over price and the value of your trade-in vehicle can only make you even more frustrated. It spoils the enjoyment of a happy buying experience and yet you would still be wondering whether you got the best deal.

Although most franchised dealerships carry sizable inventory, availability is limited within one individual showroom. You may finally be persuaded and take the off color with unwanted options instead of the one that you preferred. Even worse, the equipment on the vehicle that you test drive may not be the same as the one you were convinced to purchase.

BE A SMART BUYER
Smart consumers do not only try to get the best price. It is much more important in selecting the right vehicle to suit your transportation needs and the right payment method to suit you financial planning. Proper tax planning can also save you thousands of dollars.

IDENTIFY THE NEEDS
Most people in North America have been driving for years, but when it comes to purchase of a vehicle, it seems that there are number of hurdles to leap before you can drive it off, or, only comparing the price tag without considering the more important factors.

If the vehicle that you are acquiring does not suit your needs, it can waste huge amount of your time and money no matter it is a luxury or cheap vehicle. It can also affect your safety and your family.

Your experienced auto consultant/advisor at AutoExperts.ca will help you in analyzing and identifying your transportation needs carefully.

SELECT THE RIGHT VEHICLE
Using one of the most advanced and comprehensive Automobile Database Network, your AutoExperts consultant will show you the detailed technical specification and options packages of the applicable vehicles, and then analyze with you to find out the best possible vehicle to suit your transportation and budget needs without bias.

THE BEST PRICE
Instead of carrying large costly inventory, we have access to the wholesale inventory of all manufacturers. By eliminating the huge additional expenses such as interest, rent, property tax, insurance, etc., you get the best possible price in the market.

However, the definition of best price should mean the lowest operating cost, therefore; the information on the resell value is also important to you.

Come and test drive your new car at www.autoexperts.ca or give a shout to Keeve at (604) 438.1001.

One time went to Toxotx dealership, looked around for 15 minutes, no one served or greeted, that's ok. There was a salesman just sat in his work table next to the display car the all time we were checking out the display car, no customers with him he was just browsing with his computer the whole time. Finally we asked him for a bronchure of that vehicle, but he looked very annoyed and just passed the brochure to us even without looking at us... well, he has no other customers at the time and someone asked for info, you think we just ask for the book to burn?! maybe he had made up his month quota or something
