Vancouverires are not too well off. It jut that cost difference between driving and busing is getting smaller and smaller.

Actually I do think increasing the fare saver (those book of 10 coupon) price is reasonable wor...it's $19 vs $25.... quite a huge saving. It's still reasonable if it's like $21 or $22 vs $25 (the regular price for 10 rides).

i agreed the increase, since the property tax & gas tax had been increased to support the translink. but they have to stop the salary increase for its management.

translink sucks like a black hole, no matter how much they get from our property tax, carbon tax and fare it will never be enough.
Why can't they run it like the hk MTR system, semi-private, give them some property development rights near sky-train station to cover their initial and running cost.

If for $500 a month I get the same reliability and convenience as MTR, I'm all for it.
When you adds up the cost of running a car ( the initial cost, insurance, gas, maintenance, interest on loan) , property tax that goes to translink and government income tax that goes to translink, it's probably not far from $500.

想增加 REVENUE 當前急務應該係想辦法阻止D人繼續搭霸王車

我自從響 DOWNTOWN 返工以黎﹐每次遇見職員查飛﹐無乜邊次唔見有人比人拉﹐證明搭霸王車係一個好嚴重的問題 (但查飛的情況也不常撞見﹐特別是繁忙時間﹐返工 0%﹐放工兩三個月先一次)﹐亦都變成係某D人的 NORM﹐可能覺得無人查飛就無需買飛了。。。以前真的聽過某人同別人講﹕“計落條數﹐就算幾多幾多天被查一次又被罰款﹐計落都還是抵

”。。。你看這樣的想法怎麼通呢﹖若果家長也教他們的小孩這一套這個社會會變成點呢﹖
