Corn is also used as foods, so if also used as fuel, it will drive up the prices.

Corn and soybean biofuel is unsustainable and uneconomical to begin with. The US government mandate on biofuel makes it worse by driving up the price of corn and soybean, without government subsidy it's unworkable.
