Does anybody know if there will be "Love Mi 鄭秀文世界巡回演唱會" in Vancouver?

我都好想佢黎開,近年來好少大星黎尼度開,多數都係去多倫多,例如古巨基,陳慧琳,同楊千嬅.唔通今鋪就算過黎加拿大開都唔會黎溫哥華?有無人可以叫佢黎開?

Vancouver has smaller market for concerts;

I remember long ago, I went to the concert of 任賢齊 in P.N.E... but that was long ago..

and G.A.L.A dinner has star like 王力宏, 陳慧琳, 楊千嬅, ...

joey & andy had concert in gm place before, but not open all sides. if sammi comes, probably she will come to vegas & toronto, can get sponsored by big casinos ma.

vancouver should start paying up real cash for the concert we like and start rebuilding or reputation again, or else no one would be coming and we'd be stuck with those minor ones that the F-group invites every year

To yokult. Leo and Miriam did open concert here. However, do you know that they went to Toronto last year to open concert but not Vancouver? Vancouver is a small market and the audiences are too passive. Probably those singers feel frustrated by our passive response.

or maybe there is no good concert place in Vancouver? They used to hold convert in PNE or GM place but now all Chinese concerts were most held at that river rock place...

It's a lot of factor, more than just size of the places. Even the one I went to see many years ago, the stage is not good enough to be considered good. What's consider good place? seating + cost of the place + traffic + people are willing to pay to see the concert + more. We are talking about Chinese concert here. Here got nothing to do with race but it's true there are many successful Western concert but not many Chinese convert.

Do you know why some stars go to Toronto rather than Vancouver?

kingsway is right; supply and demand is one of the reason. Peter, please post smart comment instead of attacking others without anything useful to say. I judged it from my own experience. Your post is really meaningless.

We all know there are many factors to a successful concert. But it was you who said the problem "maybe there is no good concert place in Vancouver" here in the first place, instead of stage production quality, parking or demand and supply issues.

Now, after you were exposed of your flaws, you backtrack and you drag in stage production quality, parking, demand and supply issues.

We have GM Place, PNE, BC Place, Queens, casino, the Center etc, so we have venues of all sizes, and they all have differents events for the public.

Many Hong Kong stars came here before, so why did they stop coming? Certainly, not because of lack of proper "concert places".

Please make more intelligent discussion next time.

Definition of good concert place or proper concert places can result in many different factor.  Our definition of "good" concert place definitely different.

If I am a star, a good concert place not only needs to have good seating, good stage and more.  I admit those ones many places in Vancouver already possess; however, I also consider the place good enough for me to host concert must have supply and demand factor and along with other too.  Good place would be somewhere my company can make enough money to cover for me to come here to host concert.

For a place good to host Western concert, does not necessary mean it's good to host Chinese concert because many factors are different.

If you are only arguing on the word "good" alone, then I have nothing more to say.

please do not insult my intelligence.  Many people here already knew how narrow minded you are; only watch thing from one side;
