So damn sexy!!

Topgear featured this car on their last episode

4.8L V10 in the size of an V8 weight like an V6
552hp @ 8700rpm
354 lb·ft @ 6800rpm
9000rpm redline in 0.6 sec!! (the engine rev up so fast that it needs a digital tachometer coz analog one can't handle it)
0-100 3.7sec
top speed 325 km/h
carbon fibre body
$375,000!! and lexus is not going to make $$ out of it!!

Well ..

Conclusion : It is as fast as a LAMBO .. but 3 times more expensive, and as fast as a GTR, but 7 times the price, with Toyota LOGO.

I like everything on thise LFA .. but the look .. and ..  well .. the price .. but it doesn't matter to me anyway ..  lol (And Toyota will not SELL it, but LEASE, and you have to own LEXUS before)

Just gimmick and marketing ..  I have been driven Lexus for ~ 10 year now, ( IS/GS/RX/GX ) I still don't like them much, and think they are over price here, not as reliable as people expected ...

Not sure how many will come to Canada, but only 2 to Calgary, so Vancouver should get just 8 to 10 I guess.

They are talking in UK GBP .. LFA is $375 GBP, 485K US, and $600K Cad.

But .. those are just "projected" price, Toyota may just want to yell up a sky high price, to tell people they are super car brand .. it is all about marketing. (like the NSX, which I still think that is the nicest looking asian car, this LFA, more or less look like a riced out celica, which is not bad, but not exotic enough.)

With hair, who wanna be "la lay"ar .....

at least, Lexus still more reliable then most European brands ... and their service cost is low.

(By the way, GS 400 is the only Lexus I like! Even I sold mine 6 year ago, but I still like their style!)

Well, Lexus are more expensive now .. but not before ar ma ..

Say back to 2000 .. I was pricing a 190HP 328i with sport package, 17 inch wheel, sunroof .. etc .. -> ~ over $60K + taxes ... vs a Loaded 230HP IS300, with 17inch wheel, sunrooft, sport seats etc ... for $38K + tax ... so, couldn't really afford 328i, and didn't want 323i so I bought the IS, even 328i was better car...

Right now, IS250 .. is more expensive as a 323i ... and much slower ... and look like a corolla .. don't get me wrong, still a good car, just the the LFA ... while I expected the LFA for around $150K before ...

Most low end Lexus look exactly like Toyota counter parts but insane price.
Given that Toyota's not cheap already.

The dash/gauges is awesome on this car...I posted a youtube clip before showing it! Japanese tend to have a style of their own to represent themselves and to differentiate from others. It's very subjective. I think this car looks fine. It might not last as long as the looks of the NSX but it's quite unique.

the price is 350-375kUS la not $450k

The current Lexus models are quite different from Toyota, unlike the Camry and ES models before.

IS looks like a Corolla...um...I don't know about you but I think IS looks much much better lor. Well, you can say 323 looks like M3...so same thing jeh

Yeah ..  IS350  vs Corolla ..  kind of like from a 323 to M3 ..

When I talk to Lexus people, Toyota does it by purpose to make this LFA very "ASIAN" like ..

Unlike the NSX, it was built very "European" style ..

LFA ..  even GTR ..  typical asian style .. .. as SONY TV or B&O TV ...

Yeah... Lexus is overpriced imo..
was looking at Lexus and BMW... then realized the price is about the same...
so I picked up a bmw instead lol

Really, i don't know what is so good about lexus making those C9 wanting to drive one...
I will only consider lexus if they come with a lowered price tag...
all in all, as u have mentioned, it is just a top-model toyota lol

I think the basic car price is ok but once you add OPTION it becomes crazy expensive. And really unlikely u don't want those "option"...

I think the otherway around .. for higher end European brand, you pay everything extra .. u probably need to spend ~$10K on options for a BMW or Benz ... and ~$20K-30K option on a Porsche ...

I found Lexus .. their cars are usually loaded.. (package A or B) so dont need to think what option to get .. and once compare a fully loaded Lexus to a fully loaded German Luxury .. still quite a bit cheaper .. ^_^ ( not this LFA ..lol

Rather then reliable, I think resell value is another key reason for people buying Lexus.

Well I disagree this time...the new W204 I got...I can live with no option (except the free sport package)...

The 330i....also only sport package is ok....

On that case .. probably yes .. I agree C lass is better value then IS250 ..

More standard feature on BMW/BENZ now.. ( may be not on 323i )

But few yr ago.. Sport package, sunroof, hi fi sound, pdc, auto, climate control, heated seats, harmon kardon, 18" wheel, GSP, Xenon, HLW, leather, premium package .. etc ..
