Well, you can do whatever you like, but that doesn't mean everyone has to do the same thing.

As to limitations, again that depends on what you do and I would say you are only limited by your creativity/imagination.

I am happy with the way I am going and if I ever find the need to use external lights, I will do so but now is not the time yet.

Have you really never used a flash??  Or at least good at it??  Flash photography is actually quite something for many photograpy subjects which the flash is within range.  This is of course not necessary when you are into outdoor landscape photography.

Anyway, if you seriously have never used flash in any situation... this is something you may want to explorer.

You know in some way, what you are saying is kind of like saying.. the following..

"I never used wide angle lens and likely won't use one either"
"I never used xxx photography items and likely won't use one either"

Yet, I have met quite some people who hate using flash, because they find flash photography difficult..., but you don't look this IMHO.

So what's the give?
