As expected, Sony has unveiled the NEX-3 and NEX-5 mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. The two cameras are both built around the 14.6 megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor announced at the PMA 2010 exhibition in February and the new, mirrorless E-mount. Both offer high-resolution tilt/flip screens, fast continuous shooting and HD video capture, with 720p from the NEX-3 and 1080i, AVCHD from the NEX-5. Also announced are three E-mount lenses: a 16mm F2.8 pancake, offering a 24mm equivalent field-of-view, a standard 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 stabilized kit zoom, with a 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 stabilized superzoom to follow. We've been using both NEXs for a while and have delved beyond the raw specifications to prepare hands-on previews of both models.

Good!

They look terrible ... so, won't be on my shopping list ..

(Usually Sony like to hard sell OUTLOOK .. but not this one, totally not balanced style)

Good idea anyway, bigger sensor then 4/3 (biggest weakness for 4/3, sensor size) and tilt adjust LCD. ( good idea for a small camera)

wow ..  SONY style .. low price!!

Cheap Cheap Cheap ..

1/2 the price to GF 1 .. almost ...

$550 US .. probably will be just $600 cad ja wor ..  then good idea as a pocket DC ..

But look at the last pic .. compare to GF 1 .. it looks so ugly ...

I guess they target to female more then male ..

haha, but I do think it looks nicer than the GF1

it's maybe unbalanced but it's CUTE! just like those big head dog! haha

That is the different between men and women ..

Women always like "small" body, but with HUGE/LONG/BIG "Cannon" ga la.... lol

Men always look at overall figure ... lol
