Do you guys mind to buy a T-shape (對沖) house? I want to buy a house and I like the house itself very much.  The only concern I have is 對沖.  I am afraid that it will be hard to resell.

My wife is very against it.  We backed out few deals just because of it.  However I heard you can put two stone lions to against it.  It will be hard to sell to Chinese communities in the future because many Chinese believes it.

I love it! but somehow, my builder against it .. and my wife against it .. ( hard to park .. )

But .... of course, I dont have $2M to buy one ....

Or can you change the landscaping? Just plants some trees and then make the path curve from the side?

Um ..  oh ..  I was thinking T-shape (對沖) means those houses with garage in both side or just on side ( more like " L " shape " ) tim ...

so when the cars drive to the street, it looks like the car is driving to your house directly.

Oh ..  House built in "T" intersection ...

It is not safe la ...  one time we were looking at a house, we quite like it, brand new, with everything we want, good location .. and ~ $100K less then other similar houses we looked at ..  

But just feel not safe ..  what of some stupid driver, crash to it? and since it is in the "T" section, will be more traffic, and when going out from garage .. feel weird .. I was ok, since the price is good .. but my wife (gf back then) didn't want it .. so ..  we passed it.

May be not that bad in Vancouver, since near no snow in Vancouver anyway ...  

It is all up to what you like, if you like the house, and it is in a fair value when it is in a bad spot, as long as you drive more careful ..  then should be ok. (got home insurance anyway.. )

It is more depending on how you feel. If everytime you look out the window seeing cars rushing to you, you don't feel comfortable; while some people don't have any bad feelings at all.

Weird ...  but even not because of 迷信, for safety, security, and privacy ..  not that good to live in a house right by the " T " intersection. (facing straight to the street, houses on the sides are ok)

What I heard if your work base on conflict like lawyers, it's OK to live in T intersection, because conflict will bring u business.
