i remembered that I had a pink "kay po" too...when I was a kid!

I don't have that much chinese traditional element as you but my wedding invitation is more Chinese style as well.

you know one of the things we did for our wedding was, instead of buying wedding favors, we took the money and we donated to Children's Hospital instead. In reality of all the weddings I have been to, I don't know how many times I actually took the favor home...

Yes, I agree, for most of the time a lot of people won't really keep the wedding favor. For our wedding, I asked my bakery (the one who did the wedding cake) to do 2 smaller butter cookies, with a heart shape in our wedding theme color on top of it, and this place is famous for their cakes and cookies, so a lot of the guests actually loved it. And also, a lot of people called me after the wedding and asked me where this bakery is, as they really loved the wedding favor and the cake as well.

The favors probably in 3 mos. That's with planning other wedding stuff and house shopping at the same time.

For my wedding...i didn't make them myself~ coz not enough time + i am not that talent LOL~
Since me and my hubby love fishes~ we use some fishes for our wedding~ here are some photos and ideas~ I love the fishes swimming around XD

Hello Kitty car decorations~ we add the butterfly wings behind them ^^

My actual wedding dolls..too cute that I dun want to put it in front of the car XP

my simple table set up~ I bought a white fur (fake) blanket to put on the table~ custom cut the size at Fabricana~~

Table tag~ also with 2 fishes inside the glass jar

This is a self-made pamphlet for my wedding ceremony (just color print on a A4 paper XD)~

3 months!! so long~~!! we are lazy couple..and most of the stuffs..including the wedding planning are done with our friends~~ =P I think we only spend less than a month to prepare the wedding ^^" and super LAST MINUTE!! I went to print out my wedding ceremony pamphlets a day before my wedding day...and me and my frd have to beg the sales person to have it done within an hr lol~ *phew* heheeeheeee
and we are super lucky that our wedding went soooo great and smooth hahaaa =D

Lucky you! My friends helped a lot but I prefer to do the favors, theme related stuff myself. However, the decor of the restaurant on the day of wedding and the flower arch was done by my florist. She's the only one I can trust. I just said here, take the money and decorate and left the store. She did a fantastic job!

I like the Pig stuff toy ideas.

but the bombonieres of the wedding cake. I think it cost too much.
Please do realize guest don't keep bombonieres if they are useless.

Here is an interesting thing. Chinese people like to keep them all for display.

but western people I knew just throw them out after the wedding if they are useless.
