I have been to Bonsor in Metrotown. Will not go back...
UBC is fine too...but parking is an issue (since it's not free).

City Centre Aquatic Complex parking only free after 6pm
Decent, not spectacular.

In the summer, the Stanley Park outdoor pool is super nice~

For indoor pools, Watermania wins hands down.

I'm just closer to Minoru in Richmond so I tend to go there...
作者: 布小熊    時間: 2010-7-8 16:07

I went to vancouver aquatics, UBC, Bonsor, Coquitlam (just too far for me now), Minoru Aquatic Centre, Watermania, YWCA DT ...etc. I like Watermania best.
Now, I just use the tiny pool at my apartment.
btw I don't know how to swim still.

Large (standard size I mean competition size), rather clean and that's already much better than others...

water mania is good because the kids are in the wave pool so I can enjoy my time there.

Just a bit pricy if you are not doing the gym.

I did swim!!! I just don't know how to swim properly. Like I can swim if I can touch the floor of the pool. When I can't touch it, I will just sink.
And I only know how to do front crawl. I wish I can do breaststroke... but I tried and took lesson and still can't do breaststroke.

I used to have that problem...only able to swim in shallow water. But...it's actually just a matter of take the "courage" to swim in the deep area. As long as u r along the side (so if anything you can hold the side), there is no difference in swimming in deep/shallow water. Actually the body floats better on the deep water.

I know it's mental. But I just can't get over it.
btw I almost get drown at the wave pool in WaterMania cos my friend who is a great swimmer didn't know that I can't swim and he pulled me off the floating board that I hang on at the deep side of the wave pool.  He did "rescured" me a min after.... but that's scary.

Wave pool is different story....I wouldn't dare to try the wave pool if I can't swim ....

You would be fine in the deep end if you can swim in the shallow. Just hang on to the side.

I'm not good at swimming, I'm able to swim in deep water coz I know I can always swim to "hold on to the side" if I run out of breath. But in ocean...I am still afraid to try yet..
