this 'formula' is lame... it will always yield xx10 where xx is big, so minus your birth year will give you your age.
step 1 doesn't matter much
step 2 makes your number always even (any number times 2 makes it even)
step 3 makes your number always odd (any even number + an odd number makes an odd number)
step 4 makes your number ends with xx50 (any odd number times 50 will gives you a large number ends with 50, e.g. 50, 150,250...etc)
step 5 since your number is large enough, adding 1760 will gives you a number that ends with xx10.
Since this year is 2010, the two last digits work out to be your age.
