Anyone been to Tojo before? Me and my friends were planning to go, but saw some reviews on dinehere, most of them were disappointed, over price. So wanna see if any LYK had been there. I checked on the website, the price were quite expensive....

hm.... so which one is a good one neh? My relative is coming from out of town and I want to take her to a good japanese restaurant. ( of course, price worth the $ , not those overprice ones)

i've been to tojo's last april.
had the $125 menu, yea the taste is different than all other japanese. However, for $125 each person, i would rather go to a chinese restaurant and have a seafood meal.

i would not go back again, they also have regular temperas for like $30 an order

Ichiro is good for cooked food. I don't usually order sushi there.
But their Nabeyaki Udon and seafood Dobin Mushi (seafood soup served in a teapot) are very good.

Ichiro is certainly good, but it's not in the high-end market, and it priced the menu accordingly.

For example, you can't compare Hachi with Ichiro.

Exactly. I will get hot food at Ichiro and sushi at Hachi!!
I miss their sushi....

Portion is not that huge....(except the Aburi Chirashi).

It is the first oversea restaurant of the Miyazaki based Tora Corporation, which has been operating restaurants in southern Kyushu since the 1950s.

tojo has good food, but overpriced.
ichiro has more reasonable price, but not that classy
miku is more like a modern version of tojo

actually i like bluewater, good quality raw seafoods and not too expensive. their chef is really famous too.

Japanese sushi is good as snack food, so you should not over pay.

i never get bad service at hachi. you just have to be patient and know what you want.
