Moron,

Do you know what the difference is between high utilization and collecting dust? It's true that for the stadium alone, it is running with a multi-million deficit, but when you factor in the collective economy benefits that BC Place generates for the local economy, the loss is insignificant compared to the economic benefits.

So who's BS-ing without a brain here, and who is making himself look stupid la?

First, if you can give an example showing I made a wrong comment about BC stadium, I will admit my stupidity; you will admit your stupidity if you cannot point out which part of what I said is wrong. Do you dare to make a deal?

Second, you said BC stadium worth the tax money to build and maintain because it provides the economic benefit to BC comparing to the Beijing Bird Net which is just collecting dust and it is a waste of money building it.

How funny that you just taught someone to have an objective and analytical mind when reading a piece of news. You just showed you are a person who does not have the ability to look at an issue abjectly and analytically.

Do you dare to share your view of the benefits China gained from hosting the 2008 Olympic?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bc_place_stadium

BC Place is busy with over 200 event days per year and contributes over $40 million per year in economic benefits to the Province of British Columbia, but it operates at a loss of more than $4 million a year ($10 million in earning and more than $14 million in expenses), not including $2.3 million for amortization. It hosts the Province's largest trade and consumer shows, community events and motorsports

So, when are you gonna admit your blantant stupidity?

Lik, you don’t even have the capability to comprehend what other people said.

First, you and KingKong123 implied China is the only country would spend the tax payers’ money to construct and maintain a giant stadium. What I pointed out to two of you is that all countries in the world did the same thing as what China did to build the Bird Net; the BC stadium is a specific example to support what I said. Can two of you give a specific example of which country in the world had done differently?

Second, the Bird Net was constructed for hosting the 2008 Olympic. Taking the cost of construction and running the Bird Net into the account against the benefits China gained from hosting the Olympic, can you tell us clearly whether it is necessary and worth while to build the Bird Net?

YES or NO? Do you have the gut to tell us your answer?

On your behalf of showing your stupidity publicly, I did a math on the cost of the construction of the Bird Nest and BC stadium.

Cost for Bird Nest:                                        423 million USD in 2008
Construction cost of BC stadium:                   126 million CAD in 1981

Construction cost of BC stadium in 2008 value:        ~260 million USD
Assuming the inflation rate as                                 3% a year
Exchange rate of CAD vs USD:                                0.9

Could you tell me how you came up the conclusion that the Bird Net cost hundreds time more than the BC stadium?

They are now adding a new retractable roof top at BC Place using ~$500 million. Are they going to make back that money? By hosting another winter Olympics?
The total cost for BC Place is more expensive than the Bird's Nest which is bigger and more elegant.

So instead of building more schools and fixing the Burrard bridge, Campbell is spending $500 million on the vanity project at BC Place.
