Hello, I'll drop by HK between Sept 5-9. I've been to many of the tourist places the last 2 times I went (eg Stanley, Peak, Ocean park, Macau (altho 4 years ago), Saigon...)

I have no plans at all, perhaps meeting a few friends and a bit of shopping. Please suggest things/places I can go. I'm interested in going to cultural event/concert, or art/music related stuff.

my favourite one is a Hong Kong museum in Tsimshatsui, it has all the HK history displays, lots of things to see and the entry price is very cheap, you can easily spend whole day there without exposing yourself under the hot sunlight

if you wnat to know the detail I can ask my friend.

my other suggestion is those dramas in City Hall (you have to check what they are presenting, maybe go online and prepare before you go), those were my "must go" every time I visit HK.

By the way, Mr. Right, I assume you are "CBC" ??

When I look at my friends' pic/undate on facebook, (CBC, etc) the area/places they go .. usually the places I never been nor will go...

Anyway, 4 days in HK, don't waste your time to those TOURIST PLACE, 4 days is not enough for going to different shopping area... ^_^

Other than eating... I go to ap liu street and goldfish street everytime when I visit HK.

Pianocat:  I'm not CBC ar.  I'm a hybrid.. Hon'adian.

Hai ar, I don't plan to go to "tourist places".  just places/thing worth going.

The museum sounds interesting.. yes, i want to watch drama! I like artsy stuff!

Ng goi sei! I didn't know about the city hall drama thing.... I should check it out. anyone has the website?

When I was in HK, I went food hunting all over the place. Aside from the street vendors for 雞蛋仔、煎釀三寶、辣魚蛋, etc., I've also had some of the BEST food I've ever tried by visiting to various 老店 all over HK. Take a look at the following forum for recommendations from 朱老闆:

In particular, I really enjoyed 鐵人中國料理's food in Mongkok, but you probably want to go there during lunch when it is less busy.

[edit] 鐵人 is not a 老店, but both 鐵人 and all the 老店's I went to were really, really good~
