o係餐館一路睇直播新聞, 見到有人質出來時, 真係全場鼓掌o架...

康泰旅遊巴在菲律賓被脅持事件，晚上七時許傳出多下槍聲，特警曾一度攻入車廂，消息指槍手被擊斃。初步消息指，車上有人質被殺。從現場情況所見，至少有五名生還者在槍擊後自行步出車廂，但有人則被抬出，具體傷亡情況仍然未明...

菲傳媒指至少4港人生還
菲律賓傳媒指出，在警方強攻挾持人質的巴士並擊斃槍手後，至少4港人生還。

消息指本港旅遊巴被脅持事件至少兩名人質遇害

仲有槍手挾持人質挾持左成10個鐘, 菲律賓"特警"絕對有時間搵架同類型旅遊巴去練習點樣攻入車廂n次,
又或者用來玩下D太平門ar, 車門ar點開, 而不是用條繩係度拉拉拉....
另外如果班"特警"係唔識點樣攻入一架旅遊巴, 大可以係o個10個鐘內 google一下.....

Why is always the police's fault if they fail....

how many times you go travel without an incident?

you know they can do better no doubt but please don't be 輸打贏要.

coach bus is always one of the hardest environment for any kind of insertion.
tight isle to walk for a officer with a assault rifle and/or a shield
and many chairs for cover and hiding spot.

If the gunner is planning to die, I consider lucky to see them escort just one person out.

I have read a few hostage incident reports. I believe it is best to wait it out for another two days.
starve them to a certain point and then go in disguise as a food delivery person.

but then this is an international incident, the police chief had a lot of pressure to have to finish off asap.

I am sure snipers could have finish the job earlier if they didn't have to wait until last moment to shoot.
The gunman was releasing some hostages, so they might assume it's safer to wait longer for more hostages to be released.
The final assault was probably sudden decision since the gunman started to get angry.

昨晚在家一直睇直播, 一直覺得唔安落.

初初以為事件可以和平解決(當時我仲o係公司), 點知返到屋企就話開鎗喇... 心知不妙. 仲要個逃走左既司機話全車人死哂, 咁即時覺得好無助. 跟住就搞左好耐, d 警察用d 好低科技去嘗試闖入架旅遊巴士, 試左好耐都唔得. 最後就由太平門入, 點知比個鎗手伏擊, 成班差佬即時縮沙... d 差佬就o係車尾放催淚彈, 谷個鎗手去車頭, 之後就有人o係車頭做瓜個鎗手了.

我諗住全車人真係死哂架喇. 點知過左一陣就見到有人仲有能力自己行出來, 頓然感到有希望. 我一直係咁等, 1, 2, 3, 4, 有4個人行到出黎, 跟住其他人就係被抬出黎了.

睇完個心好唔好落.

I won't try to hate the general Phillippinos if I were you, it's only those police (so call)... Spreading anger to the innocent is improper and foolish.

Remember those 2 photographers on board, they are respectful...

The driver abandoned the vehicle... I think at that moment it's an understandable reaction. Saving one life is one... He's not obligated to sacrifice...

He's not obligated to sacrifice, but he didn't need to step out of the bus and say all the people (Chinese) on the bus are dead, does he? It as if to him, Chinese aren't lives?

These Filipino gunmans always choose tourist as targets. Yet the authorities doesn't seem to give a sh_t to tourists. I hope that nobody from now on travels to the Phillipines until they clean up their act.

Also, don't know if this was a well know fact. 5 of the hostages, and 3 of the dead were also Canadian Citizens. I hope the Canadian government will put up a hard stance on this: asking for an inquiry over this and put up travel warning to the Phillipines until a satisfactory result is reached from the inquiry.

At the driver's position...

1) sitting at the most dangerous spot of the vehicle...
2) hands were trapped on the wheel...
3) a riffle at the back, and you can only look forward...
4) gunman started to shoot, the fellow sitting next to/behind you was killed...
5) police started shooting the vehicle (he doesn't know they are aiming the tires)...
6) what you heard is bang, bang, bang and casualities started to yell...

I don't know what else can you expect from him after he's escaped... I really can't tell...

To not say 'everyone is dead' when he doesn't know, that's all I expect.

I don't think I will climb out of a hostage situation and say everyone is dead unless I witness it with my own eyes that every one was shot. I'll probably just come out in shock and not say anything or say 'know nth', etc.

死者是否死於槍手之下?還是菲警?
譴責槍手的同時,應歸咎菲警.為何不談判?為何打車輪?為何搥窗?試試易地而處,每一步都令槍手情緒升温!

I was blaming the driver too .. however, those drivers in south-east asia, are not like drivers here, most of them, can't even talk well ..

Well, it is sad, let's hope it won't happen again, and if it happens again, hope the filipino government can handle better.

my concern is, everybody is accusing how the police handled this case, rather than the killer... I think why ppl focus on the police is because the 匪徒 was calm and willing to listen and released some hostages at the beginning.
So the police could have done something to change this whole tragedy to something not as bad and with a totally different ending.
People were angry that something could be done wasn't done.

Think from the dark side:
Filipino police doesnt' want the gunman to disclose anything to the public, that's why they do not response to what he requested. He'd just wanted to talk to the media as he wrote on the papers. He might disclose the 貪污 or any dirty matters.

Police wants to 滅囗, both the gunman and the hostages.

There are criminals everywhere, hostage taking happens all the time, esp in Phillippines. I think it's hard to count that there would be no hostage taking incidents, no criminals, and that criminals will act nice and obedient...

However, one'd think that they can count on the police, who are professionals, with an obligation to their taxpayer, and the society. Obviously, this incident tells you that you can't, not the Fillipino ones anyways...

呢個世界少D 仇恨會好好多！

真係覺得要認真珍惜大家身邊所有既親友，要珍惜身邊既親友，呢一分鐘佢o係你隔離，下一分鐘就可能發生D改變大家一生既野。見到呢件事入面影響到咁多家人，有父母失去兒女，兒女失去父母，好無奈。真係唔明上天要佢地受呢D 折磨﹖真係應該少D 對你身邊既人呼呼喝喝，你呢一刻覺得佢地欠左你，第時再冇人俾你喝果陣你後悔都太遲！

我媽咪成日同我講呢兩個字........要"惜福"！

馬尼拉人質事件中，頭部重創的青年梁頌學，在屯門醫院接受手術，移除前頭骨，減低顱內壓。手術歷時五小時，到凌晨約三時完成。梁頌學在母親陪伴下，送上深切治療部。他昨日由醫療專機送返本港後，醫生指他情況穩定，維生及心肺功能正常，但由於腦部創傷，有些腫脹，需要接受手術。
