Having seen first hand how news of SARS and avian flu were completely silenced by the Mainland media at first, if you still don't see how much more dangerous a superbug outbreak or any sort of pandemic is compared to it happening to other countries in the world, I can only say that you are extremely, EXTREMELY stupid.
Now compare how the swine flu developed out of Mexico. Even though Mexico isn't among the most advanced country in the world, at least it still enjoyed significantly more press freedom than China can ever hope to get at this point in time. And because of the widespread reporting of the news, countries in the rest of the world were able to significantly better protect themselves against it.
