接仔放學冇咗個女
將軍澳發生嬰兒嘔奶猝死慘劇！四個月大女嬰昨午飲奶後睡覺，竟被母親獨留在家，落街接兒子放學。母親一小時後折返，驚見女兒嘴角有嘔吐物，面色轉紫，毫無反應，立即抱女兒跑往附近診所，哭嚷：「我囡囡無呼吸呀……」醫生見女嬰已無氣息，急召救護車將她送院，惜告不治，女嬰父母悲慟欲絕。警方初步相信女嬰嘔奶窒息喪命，其母親涉嫌虐兒被捕，今次已是本年內第六宗嬰兒嘔奶猝死案，情況令人關注。
猝死女嬰姓陳，僅四個月大，女嬰渾身肥嘟嘟討人喜愛，與姓黎（卅四歲）母親及胞兄（六歲）居住欣明苑欣松閣一單位。據了解，女嬰父母並無請家傭看管女嬰，由母親擔任全職主婦，專責照顧一對子女，丈夫則負責賺「奶粉錢」。

急抱落診所求救
昨午四時許，黎婦餵女兒飲奶後，將她放回房間，見女兒熟睡後，急急腳離家接兒子放學。約一小時後，黎婦帶同兒子返家，走入房間後，竟見女兒面色已變紫，嘴角有嘔奶痕迹，拍喚她時發現女兒已全身冰冷，連忙抱住女兒落樓求診。身穿校服的陳子亦心知不妙，陪伴母親同往，她們走到欣景路八號一間醫務中心求醫，當時診所內約有十人，黎婦衝入診所，淚流滿面，不斷嚷着：「我囡囡無呼吸呀……救命……」

黎兆基醫生隨即替女嬰檢查，發現她已無呼吸脈搏，急忙吩咐姓陸（廿三歲）女職員報警，救護員趕至替女嬰進行心外壓，並緊急送院搶救，但終告不治。陳父聞訊趕到醫院，得悉噩耗難過不已，與傷心欲絕的妻子相對落淚。

母涉虐兒被捕
礙於女嬰生前無病無痛，健康精靈，醫生初步驗屍發現，女嬰喉管有嘔吐物，不排除她嘔奶窒息，惟真正原因有待剖屍化驗。黎婦因獨留女兒在家，無好好看管兒女，涉嫌虐兒被捕帶署，案件交由觀塘警區刑事調查隊跟進。至晚上九時許，五名探員先後重返醫務中心及女嬰寓所調查，並檢走一批證物。

「又一條生命！」香港防止虐待兒童會總幹事雷張慎佳昨慨嘆，由於家長安全意識薄弱，大好生命毀於一旦，她再提醒家長不應存有僥倖之心，以為「行開一陣無事」，短短一秒鐘也可能發生無法彌補的悲劇。

曾為女嬰急救的黎兆基醫生昨憶述，女嬰由母親抱入診所，無呼吸脈搏，於是報警。女嬰嘴有奶漬，他在救護車到場前，曾替她進行人工呼吸、心外壓及用儀器幫助呼吸等急救。

Sigh ..  shouldn't la..  

For baby .. even kid ... can't leave them alone la..    sad sad ..  it is not easy .. to bring up a baby/kit!

By the way, nice graphic, same cloth, same hair style, and same body shape as the READL person ..

I'm not saying leaving the baby alone is right but sometimes even staying home with the baby couldn't avoid things like this too.   There are so many possibilities for SID (Sudden Infant Dealth), even if the mom is home she might not even noticed anything before the baby died.

Agree. But at least if the mom is home, she would have noticed something went wrong quicker, or at least send the baby to the ER quicker, and the survival rate might be higher.

For a SID case, there will be no sign whatsoever; baby dies in its sleep.  When the mom discovers her baby is dead it's already too late.

burping the baby after feeding is important


... agree with SB, even if the mom is at home it might not be avoidable.

That is why ..  we slept with our baby when he was few month old .. in case anything happened ..

But then, he has been spoiled, and like to sleep with us .. even now ..

Is there a way to prevent baby 嘔奶?  if that's the case, that's mean parents can even sleep.
can it be something that just inject to the baby for nutrition?

Burping the baby and also do not let the baby have the bottle while laying down and falling asleep~
