Rockslide on Highway 1, traffic re-routed

Be the first to Comment 0 Recommendation(s) HOPE (NEWS1130) - A rockslide on Highway 1 near Bridal Falls has traffic closed off in both directions. Crews are re-routing cars onto Highway 9 the Rosedale-Agassiz stretch to Lougheed Highway.
The area surrounding the slide is said to be unstable and Drive BC expects the road to be re-opened sometime this afternoon.
But that's not the only problem on our roads today. Black ice is causing traffic issues across Metro Vancouver, as temperatures dipped last night, freezing the rain into sheets of ice.
Problem areas are in Langley, Surrey, Delta, New Westminster, Richmond and the Sea-to-Sky Highway.
