【明報專訊】美國國防部昨日表示，中國早前曾再拒絕讓另1艘美國軍艦在元旦假期停泊香港，同時也拒絕讓美軍運輸機降落香港執行補給任務。有消息指，美國曾要求中國停止部署「東風-31型」導彈，但遭到中國軍方拒絕。

補給運輸機不准降落

美國國防部發言人昨天證實，美軍導彈驅逐艦「魯賓詹姆士號」在10月向中方申請，希望在來香港度元旦。但在11月22日，中方改口同意小鷹號入港時，卻拒絕「魯賓詹姆士號」訪港，並拒絕美軍1架「C-17」軍用運輸機降落香港進行補給任務。該架運輸機每隔3個月都會為美國駐港總領事館運送補給，中方沒有解釋拒絕原因。近來已經有4艘美國軍艦被拒停泊香港。

美國一名高級海軍將領透露，香港是深受美國水兵喜愛的國際港口，未來將仍按需要向中方提出停泊香港的請求。

美促華停部署遠程導彈

內地有網站指，美國曾經要求中國停止部署射程達8000公里，在中國發射能覆蓋美國西岸的「東風-31型」導彈，但遭到中國軍方拒絕。

另據台灣傳媒報道，國務院台辦主任陳雲林即將訪問華府，這是他今年內第3次訪美，頻密程度空前。

Well if the US Economy tanked next year, Uncle Sam will be a lesser issue too, but on the other hand what other fools will be buying ship loads of goods from China?

If the supply plane was denied, whats the point to allow their Diplomats to stay in HK? If they have to comeback in another plane they're still coming to HK?

Nah, just look back at history, you get respect from the US only if you stand up for your rights.
Maybe the US should ask Japan return the Diaoyutai Islands to China. That would be a respectful action.

You still do not get it. Maybe you think China should just shut up if the US sells weapons again to Taiwan.
Don't you even realize that the Dalai Lama has political aspirations, since he led the riot against the Chinese government?
All these western governments are supporting his plans of splitting Tibet from China.

Again, you have to play power politics with the US, instead of acting like a coward.

但係美國唔會係回敬人地個種國家, 佢地 d 大美國主意太勁, 應為係必然既

US is just playing power politics. (according to what has been written), regardless playing with which colonialists

And if China choose to stand against anything, what's the point of putting it aside?
and what's the point of being consistently rejecting US from docking, when in the end CHINA choose not to bring it up?

When there're things done without a purpose, don't blame others for not respecting it. S/he deserves it.
An analogy would be, adding personal offenses on his/her own argument in an objective, opinion-welcome debate to make it more sound.  And in the end, s/he loses his/ her respect from others.  Disagreeing an opinion by stating someone else's opinion "stupid" is unnecessary.  That act itself is naive.  I am talking the act itself.  Take it personally upon your wish.
