SUPER STORE = LOBLAWS = TNT What's left? Safeway? Save ON? COSCO? nothing left lol

I guess a lot of people know that.  That's why I don't buy meat from T&T, especially the on sale items.

We can never trust 100% of any store ga la. Those ones got caught are "known" issues, but how many "haven't caught yet" are out there? It doesn't mean they don't have problem, it only shows that they have "clean records" geh mah. LOL

and I did sometimes find items with a new best before date covered on top

last time i told the cashier in the chinese supermarket...
the one near the superstore...
the food 過期 already...
the next day I wanna buy it again...
And I saw all the food has no DATEEEEEEEEE...
So I just assume they just erase the date off... =.=

Incorrect, Daiso does not do that (anymore?) because they sell just-about-to-expire food at a discount price now. They are a regular CFIA and FDA target, so Mr.Fung wouldn't allow its only money making store at Aberdeen fall

I never buy perishable in Superstore - Meat, seafood, dairy, bakery... they're poor quality compare to elsewhere - Save On, Safeway

Superxxxxx is no good,

but do not count on Sxxxwxx either, I have a friend working
at the butcher dept, they do the same thing.
My friend works at the BBy store and he told me not to go there.

Yeah... I am trying not to buy from any of the supermarket but it's hard.
After 10pm at night, I am stuck with Save-on or Safeway.

I found that organic milk at Save-on isnt' so great... I guess not many ppl buy from there... But I don't want to carry heavy milk on skytrain from whole foods.
(price is similar and the chance of them on sale is higher at whole foods vs save-on)

    really. I drink organic milk too....good to know whole foods may have more chances for discount.

I go through 6 Kg of  home made organic yogurt  every week ,
so I buy fair amount of Organic milk. Usually at Famous Food or Capers

given super store's prices
can you really ask for much more?

if you have money you can always go to those smaller organic stores
